Memory #8
When I was young, my mom and I would go grocery shopping each Sunday after church. I loved to look at make-up and nail polish while my mom picked up the groceries. One Sunday in winter I dropped a bottle of pink nail polish onto the floor. The bottle broke; while most of the pink mess ended up spreading out on the grocery store floor, a large drop of pink splashed onto my white winter boot. My mom never noticed the stain, but I felt guilty about my untold secret until I outgrew the boots two years later and gave them to the Goodwill.
