Memory #17

When I was in fifth grade, Kim's mom ran her foot over with a van! Kim was very quiet, but I always thought she seemed kind. I moved away and didn't return to the city until I was a senior in high school. I glimpsed Kim from time to time between classes, and once she bought a homecoming ticket from me while I was running the table. I kept meaning to say hello to her. Finally, I had my chance! School was dismissed, and we were walking to the parking lot all alone. I saw her up ahead, and I never said a word.
